Nashville FHC takes pride in hiring experienced, energetic and encouraging coaches to help our players get the most from each session.

All of our coaches bring years of playing and coaching experience, ranging from coaching elementary school programs to playing in the Olympics, and everything in between.
NASHVILLE COACHES
- JILL STAPLETON -
Jill played 6 years at Long Island Field Hockey Club in Long Island, NY, currently plays with our adult league and has been helping coach the NFHC teams since 2022. She is the 2024 Franklin High School Head Coach.
- ANI RODRIGUEZ -
Ani plays with our adult league and played in Club de Regatas Bella Vista where she coached for 6 years. She was born in Brazil and played for the Brazil National Team. She leads the 2024 Academy Team as well as the 2024 Nolensville High School team.
Samantha joined Nashville Field Hockey in the fall of 2021. Sam assisted with the program at Nolensville, and with officiating in the Nashville area. She's a certified USAFH umpire with experience officiating DIII matches and previously played at Merrimack College in Massachusetts.
- SAMANTHA PODPALY -
- Lizé van der WESTHUIZEN -
Lizé is an active member of our adult program and previously coached SouthAfrican Provincial Teams U13 and U16 Girls division, winning silver and gold in 2021 and 2022 and silver for for 2023. She previously umpired at two Inter Provincial (Country) Tournaments. She is an umpire as well as the 2024 Franklin High School Assistant Coach.
- MADELINE SANTSCHI -
Madeline joined NFHC as a coach in spring 2022 and now manages our umpires and leads our Academy Team. She is an NCSA Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist and Certified Personal Trainer. Before moving to Nashville, Madeline coached for Patrick Henry High School and the Typhoon Elite Field Hockey Club, and played at Randolph-Macon College in Virginia.

- SYDNEY CARR -
Sydney has umpired with NFHC for several years, and before coming to Nashville, played four years at D1 Kent State. She is currently coaching the Middle School and Elementary program. Sydney is an active member of Nashville's adult group and also a local elementary school teacher.
- JODI MURPHY -
Jodi has been involved with Nashville Field Hockey since its earliest years. Jodi spent 6 years as the head coach at Liberty University, starting that program from scratch. Prior to that, Jodi both played and coached at the University of Richmond, and played two years at Indiana University.
- HANNA FRENCH -
Hanna has been coaching Nashville FHC for the past several seasons and currently leads our 2024 Travel Team and coaches our Ravenwood High School Team. Hanna played four years at Appalachian State University, and is an active player in the club's adult group.
- JESS PEOPLES -
Jess has been an active adult member of the club for several years and is currently the Club Director. Jess played four years at Miami University in Ohio.
- JORGIA HOPE -
Jorgia joined NFHC as a coach in fall 2022, having spent 10 years playing high school, university and club hockey in England. Jorgia is currently umpiring, and is an active player with the club's adult group. She has previously coached the Franklin High School Team. She'd love to coach a team in Mt. Juliet area where she now lives. If there are any willing parent sponsors to help with a team in this area, please contact us.
All our NFHC head coaches are USAFH coach members, including a background check and SafeSport certification.
